Miniature Cows
BBR Ginger
Ginger is an amazing deep red, mid-mini highland 42". She's a 2018, super sweet and social. She turned into quite a grass puppy while she's was in them maternity pen. She'll let everyone pet her, but she mostly has eyes for Cooper. When she came to us she was quite the bottom of the pecking order, but has since learned how to hold her own.
Ginger paired with Boots again for 2024, and had a cute little red bull we call Dallas (2024 Available).
Prior calves: xBoots for Cash (2023 NFS), xOutside Bull for Millie (2022 Sold)

BBR Bossy
Bossy is a 2020 dun highland with great hair. Bossy is confirmed black/wildtype and single dilution (Ed/E+ and Dh/N). She is non chondro, about 42" at 3 years old, and is keeping true to her mini size. She got her name on the ride home where she was ornery and kicked everyone! It took only a few days in the pasture with Lelo to turn that around. Her best feature is her big brown eyes and long hairy coat. She is at the bottom of the pecking order, but at the same time she knows what she wants and doesn't mind challenging all the other girls for what she thinks is hers. Cookies, yes! Petting, no!
Bossy paired with Boots again for 2024, and had a spunky yellow heifer calf we call Eadith (2024 Sold).
Prior calves: xBoots for Piper (2023 Sold)
NFS
BBR Lovey
Love is a 2018 mid-mini 42" yellow highland (red/wild, Dh/n). Lovey ... is not actually very lovey. But we needed a Gilligan's Island name to go with Marianne and Ginger. She's got a gorgeous face and shape. And clearly she makes AH-MAZING babies with Rylder. So we'll keep working on ranch skills like petting.
Lovey paired with Ryder again for 2024 and had a beautiful heifer named Stiorra (2024 Sold), either silver or dun pending testing.
Prior calves: xRyder for Scooter (2023 Sold) , xBoots for Clementine (2022 Sold)
NFS
BBR Marianne
Marianne is a 2018 mid-mini 42" black full highland, with classic conformation and hair. Marianne is pretty chill, yet shares the #2 spot with Peanut. She's not aggressive, or mean, but she's not a fan of being petted. She is however, a fan of cookies and grain.
Marianne paired with Boots again for 2024 and had an amazing shortie black heifer named Hild (2024 Sold).
Prior calves: xBoots for Ollie (2023 Sold), xOutside Bull for Gilligan (2022 Sold)

BBR Tink
Tink is shyest of the shy and the littlest of the little on our ranch. She's a 2020 and maybe 36" at 3 years old. In 2022 she had a stint in the maternity/weaning pen, and there she learned how to be more assertive so she just now pushes through all the other girls to get her share of cookies.
Tink paired with Ŧ again for 2024 and had a the most amazing shortie heifer calf named Brida (2024 Available).
Prior calves: xTT for Belle (2023 Sold)
NFS
BBR Lelo
Lelo is a beautiful mid sized belted Galloway, non chondro, 45", 2015. She'll do almost anything for a treat or sweet alfalfa, and is not shy about using her reverse moo to let you know when she wants something. We often joke that she should've been renamed bossy as the namesake of our ranch, but her name's been Lelo for too long to change it now. She's everyone's mom, she's got the stink eye down, and they all do what she says.
Lelo is paired with Ŧ again for a Summer 2024 calf.
Prior calves: xTT for Barnaby (2023 Sold), xOutside Bull for Jester (2021 Available)
NFS, would consider an offer
BBR Jester
Jester is a 2021 mid-mini belted Galloway, currently 44". Jester was dam raised by Lelo (sire is Maui from MiniMoo Ranch, with papers). Jester inherited her mama's vivacious personality -- she comes literally RUNNING for cookies and scritches, and she loves her hoomans.
Jester paired with Ŧ again for 2024 and had the cutest, tiny bull calf named Finan (2024 Available).
Prior calves: xTT for Harley (2023 Sold)
AVAILABLE Jester is available after weaning Finan in Fall 2024, or as a pair with Finan prior. She can be exposed to one of our bulls (buyer's choice).
BBR Marie
Marie joined us in March 2024 as a replacement heifer from Steadfast Farmstead. She is HHCA-B registered. She has a beautiful white/yellow coat and lovely horns. She has a beautiful coat and fantastic confirmation with the deep body and thick head that we like. Color testing is pending.
Marie will be paired with one of our bulls for a 2025 calf.
NFS
BBR Darina
Darina joined us in March 2024 as a replacement heifer from Steadfast Farmstead. She is HHCA-A registered, and she's a grandaughter of Big Ridge Voodoo Magic. She is very small framed but non-chondro, and her reddish baby coat is just shedding out to her true black. Color testing is pending.
Darina is the youngest of our heifers, and she'll be paired with one of our bulls for a 2026 calf.
NFS
BBR Millstone
Millstone came to BBR in April 2024 as a replacement heifer. She's named after our good friends, who were out celebrating their 25th anniversary the day we decided to bring her home. She's going to add some more red and possibly frosting to our herd. Color testing is pending.
Millie will be paired with one of our bulls for a 2025 calf.
NFS
BBR Carter
Carter came to us all the way from Texas in February 2024 after we decided we wanted a sweet small hereford as a pet. We got her home and she's so tiny! Our smallest bull, Cash, will probably be her pasture mate to ensure she doesn't get mixed with the larger bulls. (Get it? Johnny Cash and June Carter?)
Carter will likely be paired with Cash for a 2025 calf.

BBR Peanut
We lost our beautiful girl Peanut and her unborn calf on Mother's Day, May 12, 2024, to a suspected brain tumor. We were heartbroken and still can't believe she's gone.
*******************
Peanut is a gorgeous, gorgeous highland girl. She's a perfect example of how color coat genetics are so interesting -- we thought she was yellow, but she's actually double wildtype and double dilution (E+/E+ and Dh/Dh). Which explains a lot about why her first calf with us, Thor, has yellow or dun tips instead of black!
Peanut is ~2019, 40" and non-chondro. Peanut is about as calm as a cow can be, yet she's second in command and doesn't take any sh**. When we picked Peanut up and drove her 14 hours across the country, she didn't even stress at all -- chilled in the trailer, ate and drank, unloaded, and fit right in. In fact, Boots immediately adopted her as his girlfriend.
Peanut is paired with Ryder again for a Spring/Summer calf in 2024.
Prior calves: xRyder for Sammie (2023 Sold), xBoots for Thor (2022 Sold)
